Celebrity N.Y. Vintage Silver Quartz Watch c. 1970's

The American jewelry brand Celebrity N.Y. has existed for a short period of time, from the mid-1950s to early 1970s in New York. However, the approximate time and exact place of creation of the brand are almost the only facts we know about it. According to the authors of the book “Fabulous Fakes: A Passion for Vintage Costume Jewelry”, all decorations made by Celebrity – handmade. Craftsmen manually inserted rhinestones and artificial pearls into intricate metal frames.

Throughout the 70's, the Home Party era allowed for various lines of jewelry to be sold. A lot like the Tupperware and Avon Home Parties, Celebrity N.Y. were sold in this way in New York city.

This was bought from an estate sale and has signs of wear, consemurate with age. Please refer to the photos for an accurate view of the condition.

Upon purchase, a new battery will be installed.
