Continental's Peacock's Eye Dangle Silver Chain Clip on Earrings c.1950's

Main amethysty rhinestone measures at 1.5 cm in width, 1.75 cm in length.
Total length of earrings including the chain dangle is 4.5 cm.

Beautiful pair of earrings signed CONTINENTAL on the back, clip on. The main stone is purple and shines brillliantly under the light. It is quite bold and is definitely a statement piece.

This was purchased from another collector. Condition is lightly worn, with few signs of tarnish on the back when first obtained, please check pictures for condition. Please note that I have also cleaned and sanitized this piece so the tarnish is not visible as much as possible, while preserving the integrity of the piece.

CONTINENTAL was a Montreal company, which in the early 1950s was the largest producer of mid-range, rhinestone jewelry in Canada. Continental was considered a main rival of Sherman jewelry.
