This elegant diamante necklace exhibits the style of the 1950's with its art deco, floral and filigree design combined. Each marquis cut rhinestone is set individually in a prong and is strung together in loops to create a classical filigree look. The centrepiece of the necklace are three clover leaf / floral-shaped pendants. Closure is a lobster claw, so this was most probably manufactured post-1970's when the lobster claw was invented. In the style of 1950's only.
Purchased from a collector who was an avid fan of diamante costume jewelry, condition is used but shows no signs of wear.
The earrings are definitely manufactured more recently because of the stud closure. This is an elegant piece with some big, bold square rhinestones to continue exhibiting the art deco fashion of the 50's. This was also purchased from the same collector, however, it does have signs of wear especially on the back. On the front, some of the foil of the rhinestones have faded, please refer to the macro shots for condition. Priced accordingly.
