WEISS Floral Aurora Borealis Crystal Clip on Earrings c.1950's

Weiss is perhaps best known for its use of smoky rhinestones. The company was also one of the first to use Swarovski’s polychromatic aurora borealis crystals, which were created with Dior in the 1950s. Earrings and pins in its Skyline brand are comparable to those in the Eisenberg Ice line.

This beautiful pair of earrings are signed WEISS NY on the back. Each Swarovski Aurora Borealis crystal is faceted and set on prongs. They shine brilliantly in different colours under light. Material is metal that is gold plated. As with any WEISS creation, the design is elegant and well-executed. You can see intricate details in each leaf that is so central to Weiss's work.

This was purchased from another collector. Condition is worn, with few tarnish on the back of the earrings, please see photos. This piece was cleaned as much as I could, without putting too much pressure to preserve the condition of the piece.
